Meet Arwen Ek: an ex-Buddhist nun, freelance writer, healer, land-escape artist, nonprofit director, singer-songwriter, Butoh dancer, & undercover shamanic goddess (work in progress). Since I left Tara Mandala and my monastic vows in 2011, my life has been filled with the mundane pursuits of raising children and starting a nonprofit – but all the while my creative fire has been smoldering in the dark recesses of my subconscious.
